Configuration / flexibility
Prepared for the next mission:
We work with operators and public authorities to understand the tender case and identify which future capabilities are worth preparing for. Space, weight margins, and system interfaces can be included from the start, enabling later battery upgrades while keeping the initial investment focused.
Energy & propulsion
Propulsion and energy systems are configured for the route profile. Battery-electric main propulsion is standard, with provisions for larger battery installations, shore pantograph/plug interfaces, and future fuel or hybrid backup upgrades.
Configured for your operation:
Vehicle deck arrangements (30–120 PBE), passenger lounges, crew facilities, and manoeuverability systems can be tailored to local fjord conditions, weather exposure, and specific tender contract requirements.

HAV Design project reaches key milestone
Last week marked an important milestone for FMV63, a new 5,000 m3 live fish carrier currently under construction for North Salmon Service.
Today's decisions matter more than ever.
The maritime industry is becoming more complex than ever. Alternative fuels, digitalisation, changing regulations and new operating models have made every design decision more important than ever. At HAV Design, we combine maritime engineering, operational insight and advanced technology to help customers reduce uncertainty and optimise lifetime performance.
