HAV Design is proud to announce that our ship design, HAV 833/ESVAGT NB 1094, is shortlisted for the Offshore Energy Vessel of the Year Award 2026, part of the Annual OSJ Conference, Awards & Exhibition taking place on 3 February in London.
The nomination highlights our work in developing the methanol-electric HAV 833 Service Operation Vessel (SOV) for ESVAGT, which will support Ørsted’s UK offshore wind activities.

- Next-generation green propulsion
A highly efficient methanol-electric system combined with batteries ensures low to zero-emission operations, supporting Ørsted’s and ESVAGT’s ambitious decarbonisation goals.
- Proven and energy-efficient platform
Based on our HAV 833 design, the vessel delivers optimized fuel consumption, excellent seakeeping, and high operational efficiency in demanding offshore wind environments.
- Built for safe and efficient turbine service
Designed to support technician transfers and logistics for offshore wind farms, the vessel provides high workability, superior comfort, and accommodation for 124 people.
- A strong and long-term partnership
This vessel marks the 10th SOV collaboration between HAV Design and ESVAGT, demonstrating a shared commitment to innovation and sustainability in offshore operations.
- Supporting large-scale renewable energy
The vessel will play a key role in servicing for Ørsted’s wind farms, strengthening zero-carbon operations for one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies.
